I really like the way each character design reflects their movesets and playstyle well. Animations are REALLY good at conveying how hard you're hitting or getting hit, and enemies and characters are incredibly expressive in spite of their 8-bit inspirations. The overall music and style is nice, although the art isn't for everyone. It's really satisfying to string together some hits, land a grab, use another hit to toss them in the air and juggle them away with special attacks and other hits. Just copy/paste the settings from the provided link and your controls will be the same (during the Default 2P setting) as it is when you play single player. I'm a bit too tired to explain exactly the necessary steps to fix it, but I made a downloadable code version. You can manually change the keybindings by going into the game files (Steam/steamapps/common/river city ransom underground) and accessing "bindings.yaml". This is tricky, but I managed to get it done. Now, you can either play the game with a controller as the first player, and using arrow keys and numpad as the keyboard controller (the 2P configuration), or you can manually go into the game configuration files and change the keybinding for the "Default 2P" second player option. We don't want that, but that's the only way we can get the game to even have a keyboard input as the second player. This sets the keyboard up for having two possible players on the same keyboard. Move down to keyboard profile and select "Default 2P". Here's how I managed to play local co-op using one controller and a keyboard:
